Many of the instruments and controls for weapons systems, navigation systems, and other equipment on carriers, submarines, and other naval combat ships are pneumatically operated. These ships have low and high pressure air systems. Manifold's such as those pictured here are used within these air systems to regulate the pressure and flow of air throughout the ship.
